Denia to Palma de Mallorca Ferry with Baleària: Via Ibiza

Denia to Palma de Mallorca Ferry with Baleària: Via Ibiza

With Balearia · 7 sailings weekly · 5:15 hours

The ferry from Denia to Palma de Mallorca is run only by Baleària. It leaves from its terminal in the port of Denia, calls at Ibiza and continues to the port of Palma. There is no direct ship.

It is a single journey: you do not change ships in Ibiza, and the ticket does not change either. The total crossing is long, so think about a cabin or a premium seat.

If you take a car, it stays on board until Palma. From Barcelona or Valencia to Palma, there are alternatives with more ferry companies.

Residents of the Balearic Islands get a 75% discount on the passenger fare, not on the car.

How long does the ferry from Denia to Palma take?

It is a crossing of several hours, because it includes the stopover in Ibiza: two stretches of sea and one stop. It is not direct and you cannot get off in Ibiza to continue on another ship. If you want a shorter trip to Mallorca, there are overnight departures from Valencia and Barcelona with three ferry companies.

This route is run only by Baleària, with a ferry linking Denia, Ibiza and Palma in a single journey. Neither Trasmed nor GNV leave from Denia.

As the crossing is long, this is one of the routes where a cabin or a superior seat is most worthwhile.

Denia Palma ferry price

The price you see above is the lowest recent one for an adult without a car, with its date. A single ferry company sets the price, so the differences come from the date and the accommodation. With a car, the vehicle is added.

  • Mini fare: cannot be cancelled; allows changes of date and time, two of them without penalty.
  • Reducida fare: changes without penalty and a refund depending on how many days are left.

If you only want to get to Mallorca, compare with Valencia Palma and Barcelona Palma, which have more ferry companies.

Balearic Islands resident discount

If you live in the Balearic Islands you get a 75% discount on the passenger ticket. It does not apply to the car, pets or extras.

  • Say you are a resident in the search on iloveferry.com/ferris.
  • Bring your DNI or NIE and certificate of residence; Baleària checks residence electronically.
  • All passengers on the booking must be residents; if not, make separate bookings.
  • More in Balearic Islands resident discount.

Large family discount

20% (general) or 50% (special) off the passenger fare, with a valid Spanish card, on domestic routes. It does not apply to the car. More in ferry with large family discount.

Denia Palma ferry with a car

Baleària carries cars, motorbikes, vans and motorhomes. Enter the type of vehicle, its make and its model when you search. With a car, Baleària asks you to arrive at least 90 minutes before. During the crossing the car deck is closed: carry with you what you need.

The car stays on board during the stopover in Ibiza, because your destination is Palma. The limit on cars in Ibiza affects those who disembark there with their vehicle. If you are going to stay in Ibiza before Palma, see the Denia Ibiza ferry page.

Denia Palma ferry with a dog

On a long crossing, Baleària's options are: pet-friendly cabin (one animal, or two if together they do not exceed 30 kg, and it can be left alone), pet-friendly seat (up to 8 kg in a carrier, on certain ships) or calm kennel on deck or in the garage. On long trips they usually allow you to visit or walk your pet at the times reception indicates. It can never stay in the car. More in travelling by ferry with a dog.

Where to leave the car

There is a short-stay car park (P1, with a maximum of one hour) and two long-stay ones (P2 and P3). The first 45 minutes are free in all of them. You can reserve a space as an extra service when you buy your ticket, on the website, by phone or at the ticket office; in summer it is a good idea to do so.
