It is operated by Fred Olsen and Baleària. There are sailings every day of the year and you can take a car, motorbike, bicycle and pet.
It is the only direct line between Tenerife and La Gomera: no ferry leaves from Santa Cruz de Tenerife. If you are in the north of Tenerife, you have to get to Los Cristianos first.

Ferry to La Gomera with a large family

Los Cristianos San Sebastián ferry with a car
You can take a car, van, motorbike, bicycle or caravan. State the vehicle when you search. A vehicle cannot travel without a passenger.
There is no access to the car during the crossing. If it is a rental, check with the company that it can be taken to La Gomera.
Los Cristianos San Sebastián ferry with a dog
Fred Olsen carries pets on their own ticket and with limited places: a carrier, a kennel on deck with a camera, or loose on a lead next to your seat. It requires a microchip.
Baleària offers a mat next to your seat, a seat for a carrier and calm kennels, with a valid health card. On both, the dog cannot stay in the car. More information in travelling by ferry with a dog.

How to get to the port of Los Cristianos
The port of Los Cristianos is in Arona, in the south of Tenerife, next to the beach and close to Tenerife South airport. You reach it by the TF-1 motorway; from Santa Cruz, allow a good hour by road.
Without a car, there is a Ferry Bus between Santa Cruz and Los Cristianos: with Fred Olsen it is added when you buy, with limited places and booked 48 hours ahead; with Baleària it is free for those travelling without a vehicle on a combined ticket. Neither accepts pets.
Arriving at the port of San Sebastián de La Gomera
The port is next to the centre of the capital, a short walk from the old town. The island's buses pass through San Sebastián and there are taxis and car hire.
