It is run by Baleària, the ferry company on the Spain–Algeria routes from Valencia, Barcelona, Alicante and Almería. GNV has no routes to Algeria from Spain, so there is no direct competitor on this pair.

One peculiarity: Baleària publishes rules by route in its help centre (car, fees, opening hours of the Mostaganem port area). Read them before leaving, because they change with the season.

Mostaganem to Valencia ferry price

The price above is the lowest recent one for an adult in a seat. Your price changes with:

  • The date: in summer and on holidays demand soars.
  • The accommodation: seat or cabin.
  • The car, which is paid separately.

To return from Algeria with a car, keep the fuel surcharge in mind: Baleària includes it in the ticket, according to its help centre, while other ferry companies charge it at the port in dinars.

Children, babies and discounts

Children and babies have their own fare: state the age of each traveller. It is an international route: there is no resident or large family discount. Minors need their own passport and, if they are Algerian, parental authorisation.

Mostaganem to Valencia ferry with a car

Baleària carries cars, motorbikes and other vehicles. State the type, make and model when searching. Rules you should know, according to the ferry company's help centre:

  • Cars with temporary plates, or with the Algerian registration card crossed out, are not carried.
  • If the driver is not the owner, you need an original written authorisation signed by both and stamped by a notary or a public body, with a copy of both people's identity documents.
  • In summer there are boarding restrictions for new cars, or cars under three years old, in Algiers and Oran; ask us whether they apply to Mostaganem on your date.
  • Exporting cars (taking them out of Spain to sell them): Baleària has announced a ban on the Valencia–Mostaganem route. Confirm the exact date before booking.

A non-resident's car enters Algeria on temporary import, for a maximum of 90 days that can be extended, and must leave with the person who imported it. The Spanish vehicle registration document is valid without approval.

Travelling to Algeria with a dog from Valencia

To enter Algeria with a dog you need a microchip, a pet passport with vaccinations, a rabies vaccine given more than 30 days and less than a year ago, and a veterinary certificate endorsed 48 hours before leaving Spain. There may be quarantine. Check with Baleària which accommodation accepts pets on your departure. Travelling by ferry with a dog.
