Valle Gran Rey to Tenerife Ferry: Ways to Get There

There is no direct ferry from Valle Gran Rey to Tenerife. You have to go to San Sebastián de La Gomera, the only port on the island with a ferry to Los Cristianos (Tenerife).
As far as San Sebastián you have Fred Olsen’s island ferry, direct or calling at Playa de Santiago, or the road. From San Sebastián to Los Cristianos, Fred Olsen and Baleària operate.
Valle Gran Rey is the town furthest from San Sebastián. Plan with plenty of margin.

Fred Olsen’s internal circuit has few departures a day between Valle Gran Rey and the other ports, so it is the leg that sets the pace.

Valle Gran Rey to Tenerife with a car
The simplest option is to drive to San Sebastián and board the ferry to Los Cristianos there: it takes cars, motorbikes, bicycles and caravans. Indicate the vehicle when searching.
We have not been able to confirm whether the island ferry takes vehicles from Valle Gran Rey.

Valle Gran Rey is in the west of La Gomera. Its port only has Fred Olsen’s island ferry; there is no ferry to Tenerife from here.
Arrival in Los Cristianos
Los Cristianos is in Arona, in the south of Tenerife, close to Tenerife South airport and the TF-1 motorway. To Santa Cruz de Tenerife there is a Ferry Bus between the capital and this port, with no pets.
How to get from Valle Gran Rey to San Sebastián
Fred Olsen island ferry, bus, taxi or car. The island’s road is winding and long from Valle Gran Rey, so do not count on arriving at the last minute.

These are crossings between islands and within one island: adults need a valid DNI, NIE or passport. If you use the resident discount, bring the document that proves it, and the same goes for the large family discount.
