Gran Canaria Cádiz ferry price

The price you see above is the lowest recent fare for an adult without a vehicle. It changes with the accommodation: seat, cabin or lounges with extras.

The car adds its own price and gets no resident discount. Neither do the extras.

Canary Islands resident discount: Gran Canaria Cádiz

Residents of the Canary Islands get a 75% discount on the passenger ticket on domestic routes. It does not apply to the car or the extras: the 75% applies only to the passenger fare; check in the booking how charges such as the cabin or the VIP lounge are treated.

  • Work out your resident price on I Love Ferry (iloveferry.com/ferris) by switching on "Resident in the Canary Islands?".
  • Bring your DNI or NIE and your proof of residence.
  • More information in Canary Islands resident discount.

Ferry to the Canary Islands with a large family

The regulations give 20% to a general large family and 50% to a special one on regular domestic sea transport. Bring your valid certificate and check when booking whether the fare applies it. More information in ferry with large family discount.

Gran Canaria Cádiz ferry with a car

Baleària accepts cars, motorbikes, caravans and motorhomes. State the vehicle when you search; it cannot travel without a passenger.

If you have hired the car in Gran Canaria, check with the company whether it lets you take it to the mainland. With a transfer, check that the vehicle is carried on every leg.

Gran Canaria Cádiz ferry with a dog

Baleària carries pets, which you add to the booking: you need an up-to-date health record. On this line there is a pet-friendly cabin, where the pet travels with you, with a water bowl and special cleaning; there is also a seat with a mat or carrier and calm kennels on the ships that have them. The pet cannot be left in the car and is not allowed on the Ferry Bus. More information in travelling by ferry with a dog.

On board: cabin, seat and disembarkation

On the long-distance ship there are standard seats, superior seats and double or quadruple cabins, inside or outside, all with a bathroom. There are also VIP and Premium lounges with extras. Cabins exist only on the ships that have them: on fast ferry legs you travel in a seat.

On the sailing with a transfer there is priority disembarkation at the change of ship.

Ports of Gran Canaria (Las Palmas) and Cádiz

How to get to the port of Las Palmas

The ferry leaves from the port of Las Palmas, in the La Luz area. On some sailings there is a free Ferry Bus between the Port Foundation office and the quay, only for those arriving without a car and without a pet.

With a car, arrive with time to spare: the boarding cut-off appears on your ticket.

Arrival at the Puerto de la Bahía de Cádiz

The ship arrives at the Puerto de la Bahía de Cádiz, on the mainland. We do not have enough data to give directions; check those on your ticket.

Documents for the ferry between the Canary Islands and the mainland

It is a domestic route within the EU: adults need a valid DNI, NIE or passport. With a resident or large family discount, bring the document that proves it. With a pet, its up-to-date health record; with a car, the vehicle documents.
