La Palma to Los Cristianos ferry with a car
Both ferry companies carry cars, motorbikes, vans and bicycles. You declare the vehicle when you book and it travels with its driver. Baleària closes boarding about 40 minutes before departure with a vehicle and 20 on foot; Fred. Olsen asks for 40 and 20 in the same way as a general rule.
With Baleària, Easy Pass lets you board with a QR code for the person and the vehicle, without the ticket office.
La Palma to Los Cristianos ferry with a dog
On Baleària the pet is added to the booking with its own accommodation (Pet&You, Pet Friendly seat or calm kennels) and needs a boarding card and a valid health card; it cannot stay in the car. On Fred. Olsen it has its own ticket, places are limited and you must say so when you buy; there is a carrier, a kennel with a camera or a sofa next to the seat. How to get to the port of Santa Cruz de La Palma
The ferry leaves from Santa Cruz de La Palma, in the capital of the island. If you are coming from the airport or from Los Llanos, allow time for the mountain road. Arrive with time to spare: boarding with a car closes earlier than for passengers on foot.
Arriving at the port of Los Cristianos
Los Cristianos is in Arona, in the south of Tenerife, and is the departure port for La Gomera and El Hierro. Close to Tenerife South airport, it makes it easy to combine a flight and a ferry. To get to Santa Cruz de Tenerife there is the Baleària Ferry Bus (free for passengers without a vehicle with a combined ticket, no pets) and the Fred. Olsen one (for its customers, with a free supplement); with a car, take the motorway.
