The ferry from Tenerife to Agaete leaves the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and arrives at the port of Las Nieves, in Agaete (Gran Canaria). It is run exclusively by Fred Olsen Express, by fast ferry, with several departures every day.
There is no ferry to Agaete from Los Cristianos and the south of Tenerife: you first have to get to Santa Cruz, along the TF-1 or on the company's Ferry Bus.
On arrival, Fred Olsen offers a free Ferry Bus to Las Palmas, which is added when you buy the ticket.

Tenerife to Agaete ferry with a car
Fred Olsen takes cars, large vehicles, motorbikes, mopeds and bicycles. On the fast ferry you cannot access the vehicle during the crossing and electric vehicles cannot be charged on board.
For a day trip to Gran Canaria without your own car, go on foot and hire one there; if you do, check first that the company allows you to drive around the island.

How to get to the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife from the south
From Los Cristianos it is about 75 km along the TF-1, a little over an hour. If you do not have a car, Fred Olsen's Ferry Bus links the Santa Cruz bus interchange with Los Cristianos.
You book it 48 hours ahead, you have to arrive 15 minutes before, places are limited and pets are not allowed.
Arriving at the port of Las Nieves, in Agaete
Agaete is in the west of Gran Canaria. Its port of Las Nieves is small and it is about 35 km from there to Las Palmas. There is no ferry from there other than Fred Olsen's.
If you are staying in Las Palmas, use the company's Ferry Bus, a taxi or your own car.

I Love Ferry tips for going from Tenerife to Agaete
- Book the Ferry Bus at the same time as the ticket if you are going to Las Palmas without a car: it cannot be requested later.
- Do not combine a flight with the last ferry. The company does not guarantee connections and, in bad weather, changes the ship, time or date.
- Get to the Muelle Ribera quay with time to spare: 20 minutes on foot, 40 with a vehicle according to its general rule.
- If you are torn between Agaete and Las Palmas, choose by where you are staying, not by the price of the ticket.
