Port of Vueltas (Valle Gran Rey): how to get there
The port of Vueltas is in the valley, in the south-west of La Gomera. If you come from other parts of the island, the road is mountainous and buses are infrequent: plan with margin so you do not arrive at the last minute.

Playa de Santiago is a town on the south coast with a small port. From there you can continue to San Sebastián by ferry.

Valle Gran Rey to Playa de Santiago by road
The alternative to the ferry is the road, which goes round the island through the mountains. It is feasible with your own car; without one, the ferry is the most practical because buses run infrequently.
Documents for boarding at Vueltas
To board, an identity document is enough: a valid DNI, NIE or passport. Fred. Olsen works without check-in or a printed card, and the digital DNI is only valid if you show it from the MiDNI app; a screenshot is not accepted.
If you travel with a minor who has no document, the ferry company handles it as a “minor without ID”, with the guardian’s DNI, and the family record book is requested at boarding. With a resident or large family discount, also bring the document that proves it.
