Morro Jable to Huelva Ferry: No Direct Sailing, Change at Las Palmas

With Fred Olsen

There is no direct ferry from Morro Jable, in the south of Fuerteventura, to Huelva. You go with a change in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria: Morro Jable to Las Palmas with Fred Olsen or Baleària Canarias and Las Palmas to Huelva with Fred Olsen Express.

You can also go from Morro Jable to Santa Cruz de Tenerife with Baleària, with a stop in Las Palmas, and from Santa Cruz to Huelva with Fred Olsen. These are always two separate bookings.

The ship to Huelva does not sail daily: start with those days and work backwards.

Morro Jable to Huelva timetable

Fix the Las Palmas to Huelva ship first, which does not sail daily, and work backwards: the ferry from Morro Jable to Las Palmas has sailings almost every day, but it has to arrive at La Luz with time to spare.

The journey in reverse

See the page for the Huelva Morro Jable ferry.

There are no departures scheduled on this route in the coming days. You can travel on these routes:

Indicative schedules and subject to variation by the ferry company for operational reasons without prior notice.

How long does the trip from Morro Jable to Huelva take?

More than a day and a half on the Huelva ship alone, to which you add the wait in Las Palmas and the leg between islands. Fred Olsen and our page give different ranges, so the real duration of each sailing is the one you see in the search. Allow a good two days.

Fred Olsen Express is the only ferry company with a ship to Huelva: it leaves from Las Palmas and from Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It is a ship with cabins, different from the fast ferries on its inter-island routes. Baleària has no Huelva route.

The Las Palmas–Morro Jable leg is run by Fred Olsen Express and Baleària Canarias; Baleària also links Santa Cruz de Tenerife with Morro Jable with a stop in Las Palmas. Between Huelva and Fuerteventura there is no direct line from any ferry company.

Baleària Canarias's lines on this trip came from the former Naviera Armas (now operated by Baleària). If you were looking for its line to the mainland, it leaves from Cádiz, not Huelva.

Morro Jable to Huelva trip price

The total price adds up the two legs. On the Huelva ship the accommodation weighs most: double or quadruple cabin, inside or outside, and the vehicle if you take one. The short leg between islands is usually the cheapest. Fred Olsen allows a refund on all fares on the Huelva line; the other leg depends on the fare and the ferry company.

Canary Islands resident discount: Morro Jable Huelva

Canary Islands residents get a 75% discount on the passenger fare of each ferry on the trip, between the Canary Islands and the mainland and between islands. It does not apply to the car, the pet or extras such as the cabin.

  • Work out your resident price on I Love Ferry, at iloveferry.com/ferris, by switching on “Canary Islands resident?” on each leg of the trip.
  • It is verified with your DNI; if residence does not come up as verified, bring the certificate from the town hall.
  • More information at Canary Islands resident discount.

Large family on the Morro Jable Huelva trip

The regulations give 20% to a general large family and 50% to a special one on the passenger fare of regular national sea transport, and on this trip you have to request it on each booking. Bring the certificate, in force. Guide: ferry with a large family discount.

Morro Jable Huelva ferry with a car

Fred Olsen takes cars on the Huelva line; state it when you search. On that crossing the car deck is not opened during the trip, electric vehicles cannot be charged on board and a vehicle without a passenger is handled as cargo. With a car, present the vehicle in Huelva with plenty of time to spare; the ferry company refers you to its boarding page.

On the leg between islands, Fred Olsen and Baleària also take cars. If it is a rental, ask the company whether it can leave the island.

Morro Jable Huelva ferry with a dog

On the Huelva line, Fred Olsen offers a pet friendly cabin, for up to two pets of 30 kg each, or Pet Room (an outside kennel with a camera). You tell them when you buy, with its own ticket and limited places, and a microchip is required. On the leg between islands, the conditions depend on the ferry company: Fred Olsen has Pet Carrier, Pet Room and Pet Sofa and Baleària, Pet&You and Pet Friendly seat. If you are not an EU citizen, ask the Policía Nacional border police which document you need for the Huelva line.
