There is just one ferry route from Valencia to Mallorca: Valencia–Palma, with three ferry companies, Baleà ria, Trasmed GLE and GNV. They leave the port of Valencia at night and arrive at the port of Palma, the capital, in the morning.
There is no ferry from Valencia to Alcudia, the port in the north of Mallorca. If you are staying there, you disembark in Palma and continue about 55 km by road, or go via Barcelona, which does have a ferry to Alcudia.
You can travel on foot, with a car or with a dog. Residents of the Balearic Islands get a 75% discount on the passenger fare, not on the car.

Which ferry companies take you from Valencia to Mallorca
- Baleà ria: seat and cabin, online check-in from 72 hours before and late disembarkation in your cabin on overnight sailings.
- Trasmed GLE (Grimaldi group): conventional ferries with cabins, luggage with no weight limit and discounts for Balearic residents, large families, military personnel and groups.
- GNV: seat and cabin, cabins that accept pets, up to two suitcases and the myGNV Club.
All three leave Valencia and arrive in Palma, but from different terminals in both ports: check yours on your ticket.
Valencia to Mallorca ferry price
The price you see above is the lowest recent price for an adult without a car. It changes with the ferry company, the accommodation (seat or cabin), the date and the car. In summer, book earlier if you are taking a vehicle: each ship's car deck is limited. Always compare the three ferry companies for your day; the difference can be big.
Balearic resident discount
If you live in the Balearic Islands you get a 75% discount on the passenger ticket, with all three ferry companies. It does not apply to the car or the pet. Large family discount

Valencia to Mallorca ferry with a car
All three ferry companies carry cars, motorbikes, vans and motorhomes. State the type, make and model when booking. In our data there is no car restriction in Mallorca, unlike Ibiza and Formentera in summer. The port of Valencia is commercial: vehicles that are not boarding cannot stay. Valencia to Mallorca ferry with a dog
The rules change by ferry company: Baleà ria accepts a pet friendly seat (up to 8 kg in a carrier), calm kennel and pet friendly cabin; GNV, a pet cabin with limited places; Trasmed, adapted cabins, a seat (under 8 kg, in a carrier) and kennels. Each ferry company boards at its own terminal in the port of Valencia: Baleà ria at the Estació MarÃtima on the Túria quay, Trasmed at the Poniente quay and GNV at the Perfecto Palacio quay. The port is separate from the city and cars that are not boarding cannot stay inside.
Palma or Alcudia: which port to choose in Mallorca
From Valencia, only Palma. It is in the capital, with the port next to the centre and buses to the whole island. Alcudia, in the north, is about 55 km from Palma, with no train: you will arrive by road. If your hotel is in the Bay of Alcudia, Playa de Muro or Can Picafort, allow for that journey, or consider going from Barcelona, which has a direct ferry to Alcudia.
Documents for going from Valencia to Mallorca
Domestic route: valid DNI, NIE or passport for adults. GNV accepts children under 14 with the family record book. With a car, the vehicle registration document and insurance. With a discount, the certificate of residence or the large family certificate.
