Ferry Formentera Mallorca prices

The cheapest prices you can find for this route between Formentera and Mallorca are aimed at residents of Formentera (with an 89% discount on the ferry between Formentera and Ibiza and a 75% discount on the Ibiza to Mallorca leg). Non-residents will need to apply promotional codes or offers to get cheaper prices.

Ferry Formentera Mallorca by Trasmediterránea

Trasmediterránea no longer operates in Balearic waters, as a few years ago its routes and ships were taken over by Trasmed, a newly formed ferry company. Trasmed is part of the Italian Grimaldi Lines group.

Travelling with the former Trasmediterránea, now Trasmed, from La Savina port in Formentera to Palma de Mallorca port is done in collaboration with the Ibiza-based ferry company Trasmapi (which also operates under the Formentera Lines brand between Formentera and Ibiza). First, you will board Trasmapi-Formentera Lines’ fast ferry from Formentera to Ibiza. Once in Ibiza, you will need to travel from Dalt Vila to the Botafoc dock and then board the Trasmed ferry bound for Mallorca.

This option with the former Trasmediterránea is available once a week, usually on Mondays.

Is there a direct Formentera Mallorca ferry?

At present, no ferry company operates a direct service from Formentera to Mallorca. To travel from Formentera to Palma de Mallorca, you must transfer in Ibiza and, in some cases, switch ports. In the past, Balearia used to operate a direct Formentera-Mallorca route only in July and August, but it has not run for a few summers now.

The most "direct" options to travel from Formentera to Mallorca by ferry require sailing with Balearia or with Trasmed - Trasmapi, both with a stopover in Ibiza and a ferry transfer.

Balearia Formentera Mallorca: Timetables

• Fast ferry from Formentera to Mallorca with Balearia. Departure at 18:01 from Formentera port and arrival in Palma de Mallorca at 22:15. The departure time from La Savina port (Formentera) is 18:01 in the evening, and the arrival in Ibiza is expected at 18:30 aboard the Nixe ferry. This vessel will take you to Botafoc port, from where the fast ferry Eleanor Roosevelt will depart at 20:00 and arrive in Mallorca around 22:15. The total duration of this journey is 4 hours and 15 minutes, making it the fastest route between Formentera and Mallorca.
• Ferry from Formentera to Mallorca with Balearia. Departure at 16:01 from Formentera, arriving in Palma de Mallorca at 22:15. The departure time from Formentera is around 16:01 on the Cap de Barbaria electric ferry. Once in Ibiza, at around 16:30, you will need to switch ports and head to Botafoc. From this dock, you will board the Eleanor Roosevelt ferry at 20:00, arriving in Palma de Mallorca at 22:15. The total time Balearia takes for this journey is 6 hours and 15 minutes, including the stopover time in Ibiza.

Trasmed - Trasmapi Timetables from Formentera to Mallorca: the crossing begins at 23:45 on Sunday, arriving in Palma at 06:30 in the morning.

• Ferry Formentera Mallorca with Trasmediterránea (now Trasmed) and Trasmapi (which also operates as Formentera Lines). This route can only be done by leaving Formentera on Sundays, as the Ibiza to Mallorca connection is only available on Mondays. In Formentera, you can board the last fast ferry to Ibiza Dalt Vila. If you travel on the 23:45 ferry, you will arrive in Ibiza at 00:15. From there, you need to get to the Botafoc dock to board the ferry to Mallorca. The Trasmed (formerly Trasmediterránea) ferry, which only departs on Mondays, leaves at 02:30. The Ciudad de Barcelona ferry by Trasmed will arrive at around 06:30 at Palma's Muelle Viejo (Camí de l'escullera s/n). The total duration of this combination, including the stopover and ferry change, is approximately 6 hours and 45 minutes.
