To get from Menorca to Valencia by ferry there is just one route: Mahón Valencia, run by Trasmed. Frequency is low, with few departures, and the crossing is very long.
From Ciutadella there is no direct ship to Valencia. You can go to Mahón by road, about 45 km, or take a detour: a ferry to Barcelona and then on to Valencia overland.

Trasmed, the ferry company from Mahón to Valencia
This route is run by Trasmed GLE, part of the Grimaldi group. Trasmed links Barcelona and Valencia with the islands using conventional overnight ferries. In Valencia it uses its own terminal. It includes luggage with no weight limit and a discount for Balearic residents.
Baleària and GNV do not link Mahón and Valencia.
Menorca to Valencia ferry price
The price you see above is the lowest recent one for an adult without a car, for your date. With a single ferry company, the total depends on the date and on the accommodation. As the crossing is long, a cabin adds quite a bit, but it is worth it. The car, if you take one, is paid separately.
Trasmed charges for changing the ticket once you are at the port: make any changes beforehand. Compare with going via Barcelona or Palma: there may be a cheaper detour with more departures.
Balearic resident discount
If you live in the Balearic Islands, including Menorca, you get a resident discount on the passenger ticket (according to each ferry company's resident fare; check in the search form) from Trasmed. Trasmed carries cars. State the type of vehicle and its exact measurements when booking. With so few departures, book early if you travel in July or August. The check-in time at the port is shown on your ticket.
A car is useful if you are returning to the mainland with luggage or family. If you are only visiting, hiring one at your destination avoids a long crossing.

The port of Mahón is inside the city, with the centre a few minutes' walk away and the airport about 6 km away. If you come from Ciutadella, it is about 44 km by road, and there is no train. Arrive in good time: with so few departures, missing the ferry is costly.
Arriving in Valencia
The port of Valencia is a commercial port separate from the centre, with access by bus and taxi. With a car, keep the vehicle registration document and the insurance to hand. The exact Trasmed terminal is shown on your ticket.
